How It Works

How Care Works at Osteopathic Health of Orlando

Every patient starts the same way: a thorough visit with Shawn St. Marie, D.O. From there, your path follows your goals, whether that’s precision medicine, hands-on osteopathic care, peptides, hormones or regenerative treatment. Here’s what to expect, step by step.

Step by Step

What to expect

Not every plan needs every step. Dr. St. Marie matches the testing to your history and goals, so you only do what’s relevant to you.

  1. Free discovery call

Request a free discovery call or call (407) 506-4776. We’ll talk through your goals, make sure the practice is the right fit, and help you choose the right first visit.

  2. Your comprehensive visit

A thorough conversation and exam with Dr. St. Marie, focused on your goals as much as your symptoms: your history, medications, allergies, family history and a full review of systems.

  3. Targeted testing

Testing matched to your history and goals. That can include advanced lab work, genetic testing through 3X4 Genetics, and imaging or food-sensitivity testing when they’re relevant.

  4. Putting it together

Dr. St. Marie connects what your genes suggest with what your labs and history actually show, including how your labs have changed over time.

  5. Your precision report

A detailed, physician-reviewed report, plus a plain-language summary you can read in minutes and a one-page summary to keep.

  6. Reviewing your results

We go through your report with you and answer your questions, so you know what each finding means for you.

  7. Your plan of care

Organized the way you live: by goal, with what to continue, what to start, and what to recheck and when. Nutrition, lifestyle, targeted supplements and conventional medication are all available when they’re indicated.

  8. Follow-up and rechecks

Labs are rechecked on a set timeline, and your plan adjusts to the results.

Before Your Visit

Common questions

Can I bring genetic results I already have?

Yes. Along with 3X4 Genetics testing, we can often integrate results from other genetic-testing companies into your report.

Should I bring my previous lab work?

Yes. When prior results exist, your report shows your lab trends across draws instead of judging a single value on its own.

Do I have to do every step?

No. Dr. St. Marie matches testing to your history and goals, so your plan includes only what’s relevant to you.

What is a D.O.?

A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine is a fully licensed physician who can prescribe medication and practice in every medical specialty, with additional hands-on training in the musculoskeletal system and osteopathic manipulative treatment. Osteopathic medicine looks at the whole person: how your body’s systems, its structure and your lifestyle work together.
