Who we are

This website, osteopathic.healthcare, is operated by Osteopathic Health and Regenerative Medicine (also known as Osteopathic Health of Orlando), the medical practice of Shawn St. Marie, D.O., located at 4625 Halder Lane, Suite C, Orlando, FL 32814. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Osteopathic Health and Regenerative Medicine.

Scope & HIPAA

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through this website, our online forms, website chat, phone calls, email, and our text messaging (SMS) program.

Health information you provide as a patient in the course of your care is protected health information (PHI). We handle PHI as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which we provide to patients and make available on request. If anything in this policy conflicts with HIPAA or our Notice of Privacy Practices, HIPAA and that Notice control.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details such as your name, phone number, and email address.
  • The reason for your inquiry, appointment preferences, and any message you send through a form, chat, email, phone call, or text.
  • Your communication preferences, including whether you have opted in to receive text messages.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring website.
  • Information collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies & analytics).

Please do not include detailed medical history or other sensitive health information in website forms, chat, or text messages. We will collect that information securely during your visit.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your questions and requests for a consultation.
  • To schedule, confirm, and remind you of appointments.
  • To send care-coordination, billing, and account notices.
  • To send marketing messages about our services, special offers, and events — only where you have given separate consent.
  • To operate, secure, and improve our website and services.
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

Text messaging (SMS)

We send text messages only to people who have opted in. You can opt in by checking the text-message consent box(es) on our website forms or chat, or by giving us consent at our office. Our consent boxes are never pre-checked and are always optional, and we ask for consent to non-marketing messages (such as appointment reminders) separately from consent to marketing messages (such as special offers). Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or of receiving care.

  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (407) 506-4776 or admin@osteopathic.healthcare.
  • Text messages are not a secure channel for sensitive health information, and we will not send detailed medical information by text.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

See the SMS Terms section of our Terms & Conditions for full program details.

Chat & call recording

Conversations through the chat feature on our website are recorded and stored in our customer relationship management (CRM) system so our team can respond and keep an accurate record of your request. Phone calls to and from our office may be recorded for quality, training, and record-keeping purposes. By using our website chat or continuing a call after being notified, you consent to this recording and storage. If you do not want a conversation recorded, please contact us by email instead.

When information is disclosed

We do not rent or trade your personal information, and we do not disclose your mobile number or text-messaging consent to anyone for their own marketing. We disclose information only:

  • To service providers who help us operate the practice — for example, our online scheduling platform, communications and CRM platform, website hosting, and email delivery providers. They may use the information only to provide services to us and must keep it confidential.
  • As required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our patients, our practice, or others.
  • If the practice changes ownership, as part of that transition and subject to this policy.
  • With your permission, or as otherwise permitted under HIPAA for PHI.

Cookies & analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies, including analytics tools, to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are sent; some parts of the site may not work properly without them.

Security & retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described above and as required by medical-records and other applicable laws.

Your choices

  • Text messages: reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. You can opt out of marketing texts and still receive appointment-related texts if you choose.
  • Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Access and correction: contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal and medical-records requirements. Patients may also exercise their rights under HIPAA as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. A parent or legal guardian should contact us on behalf of a minor patient.

Our website links to other services, such as our online booking platform and map providers. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we handle text-messaging data will not be applied to you without your consent.
